
Winner of two bronze Addy Awards-2014 (student-level) More often than not, many Mexican Americans go trough a crisis trying to define themselves as either Mexican or American. Even if they were born in America, people can't considered themselves Americans because their Mexican heritage, but they couldn't consider themselves Mexican either because they've never lived in Mexico. I want to give people a positive sense of identity and a motivation to be proud for what they are.

Problem: Many soldiers who experience traumatic events while in combat may develop Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, making it difficult for them to reintegrate back into society. There is a need to bring some sense into their shattered spirits. Solution: The bullet garden represents an expression of hope for people who are trying to reintegrate and leave the turmoil of war in the past. What once was a reminder of a destructive past can now be used symbolically as the foundation for a new life.

Logo Re-Design: For Father's Day, I wanted to give my dad something really cool and practical, not necessarily a shaver or a tie, something he could really use everyday. So I took the old logo his hardware business has had for 25 years and made him a few new designs for him to choose. I wanted to do something minimal, modern and industrial.

Logo Re-Design: The client is an excellent and talented gourmet chef with lots of rock n' roll attitude, but his old logo didn't reflect that at all. He came up to me asking for something bold, gritty and outstanding. He loved it!

Assignment: To present a creative way to build brand equity while communicating the identity and personality of a brand. Solution: Wahoo's Tacos Fest. W.T.F. is an event organized by Wahoo’s Tacos in which competitors from everywhere can attempt to skateboard through a number of challenges while eating Wahoo’s tacos and burritos...dude!

They asked for an ad to bring awareness about the small percentage of African Americans in the industry. Solution: bLACK. A simple yet insightful message that contrasts words and colors. The message in context with the campaign is to express the lack of black in the industry.
